Our services Meet the teamWessex Translations was one of the first translation companies to be established in the UK and we are proud to have been in business for over 50 years. While technology and working practices have changed dramatically in this time, our company ethos has remained the same. Our clients have always been our main focus, and we pride ourselves on the long-standing relationships we have developed. Our commitment to service excellence has been vital to the longevity of the business and continues to motivate us in all we do. We frequently go above and beyond for our clients, which we believe sets us apart from the rest.
With decades in the business, we have built an exceptional team of freelance translators and interpreters who we enjoy working with and know we can rely on. We see them as an extension to our in-house team and value the close relationships we have forged over the years. From our freelancers (some of whom have worked with us from the very beginning) to our talented in-house team, and those who have been both – we're grateful to all of them for helping us to build the company into what it is today.

Our French Office Manager, Delphine, is responsible for fostering client relationships in France and ensuring that we are doing everything we can to meet their needs. With the help of our project managers in the UK, she is an integral part of our commitment to service excellence.

Outside the world of translation, we are enthusiastic about helping others and frequently take part in fundraising activities. From Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day and Macmillan’s Coffee Morning, to Wear a Hat Day organised by Brain Tumour Research, we love to get involved and raise money for a good cause.
Every year, Wessex staff nominate and vote for at least two local charities that they feel would benefit from a quarterly donation from Wessex. We also continue to support the Friends of the Children of Orissa charity every year. It has been obvious from the correspondence and thanks that we have received over the years that Wessex donations are very much appreciated and have been put to good use, and we have enjoyed following their progress.
