JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator / Project Manager

REPORTING TO: Directors and Production Managers

Note that this position requires attendance at our office in Romsey, Hampshire, a minimum of three days per week. Own transport is required due to the location of the office.

Role Purpose:

To manage assigned translation and interpreting projects from end to end.

Responsibilities:

The day-to-day project management and coordination of assigned translation and interpreting projects from initial client contact to project completion including:

• Project set-up and quoting, progress chasing, project delivery and completion documentation.
• Managing client expectations by ensuring that they are kept up to date with project progression and delivery schedules.
• Answering queries from clients, translators and revisers.
• Revising, updating, double checking and formatting amended translations.
• Maintaining the Project Management System by setting up and maintaining the progress of jobs as required.
• Placing delegated jobs with translators and revisers.
• TM and glossary maintenance.

Other general tasks:

• Project and office administrative work as required (including monitoring and responding to incoming emails, maintaining the project management system, double checking for colleagues, word counts, hard and soft copy file management, photocopying).
• Answering internal and external queries.
• Sharing skills and knowledge with colleagues to ensure mutual understanding of relevant industry and technology developments.

Qualifications, competencies, and other requirements:

• Educated to at least UK Bachelor’s level or equivalent, ideally with one or more languages to the same level.
• Relevant experience in a similar working environment, ideally using linguistic skills on a regular basis would be an advantage.

• High standard of literacy in written and spoken English.
• Good standard of numeracy.
• An organised approach to work with good attention to detail and accuracy.
• A good team player with strong self-motivation, organisation, and personal time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, oral and telephone communication skills.
• Meet statutory requirements to live and work in the UK.
